Spend two weeks exploring the hidden nooks of northern Thailand on this active adventure journey. Start in Bangkok with a lively introduction to the city. In addition to a full day to see the highlights, spend another on a walking tour of the city’s thriving Chinatown and an evening taking in the excitement of Bangkok’s nightlife. From here, a town recognized as a UNESCO Heritage Sight for a glimpse at traditional Thai life. Preservationists are actively working to protect important aspects of the town like its farming community, Catholic churches, and old forts. The next day you will make a visit to the famous floating market which has remained the same for many years. After visiting the market you will be met and transferred to the airport for your flight to Chiang Rai. After breakfast the next day, head out with your guide for a leisurely bicycle ride through the area, visiting small villages and passing sprawling farms. Head to Mae Salek for a night and enjoy kayaking along the Mae Kok River. The following day, after being met by your guide, you will be driven to Doe Mae Salong, situated dramatically in the mountains, for a two-night stay. Take in the unbelievable vistas whilst you visit tea plantations, coffee fields and the Doi Tung Royal Gardens. Continue to your final destination in the north, Chiang Mai, and spend two nights exploring Thailand’s second city. The local government has taken painstaking efforts to ensure that the city retains its small-town atmosphere and traditional customs. Continue to Bangkok for a final evening before your international departure flight.
