Day 1: Cycling tour to Tra Que Village
Upon disembarkation, our guide will be waiting to provide transport to Cam Kim Island via Hoi An’s Thu Bon River. This island region houses many of the town’s farmers, particularly in the Tra Nhieu area, which proves to be the ideal place to get to know the practices.
After a 3 kilometer ride along the river, bicycles will be waiting at the pier. Hop on two wheels and begin the 10 kilometer ride through winding villages where traditional farming and fishing are a way of life. Learn how to make rice wine, rice noodles and rice paper, discover unique mattress making techniques and see how locals thrive with livestock breeding. Furthermore, a stop will be made in a nearby water coconut jungle where you’ll have the chance to learn how to maneuver traditional bamboo basket boats.
After the experience, a stop will be made at a local restaurant for some delicious Hoi An cuisine. There will also be the opportunity to get a 30 minute foot massage, which could prove to be the ultimate form of relaxation after a half day tour! Transport will be provided afterwards back to Hoi An and back to the pier to re-embark the ship.
Please note: this is a cycling tour, so you can set the pace at your own comfort levels.Departures (local time)
