Heritage Line Violet Cruise – The Romance of Halong, Reimagined

A Jewel of Indochina at Sea

Step aboard the Heritage Line Violet, an exquisite vessel modeled after traditional Vietnamese junk boats, and be transported into the golden age of Indochina. With its distinctive red sails, gleaming dark timber hull, and classic décor, Violet is not merely a cruise—it is an evocative journey into the soul of Halong Bay, one of the world’s most spellbinding UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Crafted with the discerning traveler in mind, Heritage Line Violet caters to just 12 guests in six meticulously designed suites. This sense of exclusivity, combined with highly personalized service, allows Violet to offer a uniquely intimate and tranquil escape far removed from the bustle of larger cruise ships.

A Design That Marries Heritage and Opulence

Heritage Line Violet embodies the elegance of the past, brought to life with today’s comforts. Its design aesthetic pays homage to a bygone era, featuring polished hardwood floors, rich velvet drapery, antique touches, and hand-painted walls that reflect the culture and mystique of old Indochina.

The interior spaces are masterpieces of style: the dining area glows with colonial charm, while the library lounge invites quiet reflection with its curated collection of books and Vietnamese artifacts. From the sun deck above, the limestone karsts of Halong Bay appear almost close enough to touch, their silhouettes casting long shadows over the emerald sea.

Intimate Luxury on the Water

Violet's six spacious suites—each individually styled and furnished—offer a world of calm and refinement. With floor-to-ceiling windows, elegant furnishings, and private balconies, each suite presents uninterrupted views of Halong Bay’s majestic scenery.

From sipping morning tea on your private terrace to enjoying a whirlpool bath as the limestone islands drift past, every moment aboard Violet is curated for immersion, beauty, and ease.

Culinary Sophistication, Inspired by the Bay

Dining aboard Heritage Line Violet is a gourmet experience grounded in local flavor and international flair. Guests can enjoy fine dining in the antique-decorated restaurant, a candlelit dinner on the sun deck, or even breakfast served in-suite. Dishes spotlight the day’s freshest catch from the bay alongside Vietnamese fusion creations and Western favorites, each served à la carte with impeccable flair.

Thoughtful Activities, Curated for Connection

Whether you're gliding through hidden grottoes on a bamboo boat, exploring floating fishing villages, or practicing Tai Chi as the mist rises over the water, each activity is carefully chosen to deepen your connection to this timeless landscape.

Guests may also indulge in spa treatments in a private room for two, take part in Vietnamese cooking lessons, or simply recline on the sundeck as twilight falls over the bay.

For the Romantic, the Explorer, the Dreamer

Whether you’re celebrating a honeymoon, anniversary, or simply seeking a refined retreat, Heritage Line Violet is a cruise designed for those who believe travel should stir the soul.

This is Halong Bay as it was meant to be experienced: slow, sensual, and unforgettable.
